The Los Angeles Lakers hired J-Cool to be the General Manager of the team and he been all business since he came here to win a championship with his team for the 4th time in his career he also hired his buddy Sam Perkins to be one of the assistant coaches to the team to help him out.
So he made a trade with the Detroit Pistons to get Rasheed Wallace for Andrew Bynum, Luke Walton, and Vladimir Radmanovic which was a wonderful situation for Wallace as the Pistons will rebuild so he will come to a team that will be in win now mode as he can help the team with his toughness and his defense.
Then a couple of days later the Celtics claimed Shaquille O'Neal off of waivers to put them over the Hard Cap big time so they needed to get rid of their guys so he offered GM J-Cool Paul Pierce for Ronny Turiaf and Lamar Odom in a trade J-Cool was a little reluctant to take the deal because it could put the Lakers closer to being over the hard cap themselves but they was willing to take the risk as Paul Pierce could be a perfect 2nd option for the Lakers behind Kobe Bryant.
Then as Free Agency Started J-Cool had only 9 players under contract so he could only offer minimum money so he won't be over the hard sadly he struck out on the 1st 3 days of Free Agency but on Day 4-5 he did sign 3 players to minimum contract in Chris Taft, Bo Outlaw and Ryan Bowen just to make it 12 to the roster.
GM J-Cool on the trades: "I realized that I need to make moves just to show people that if I win the title that I earned and I didn't sit on this team so I made the moves necessary to do that to add Paul Pierce and Rasheed Wallace to the team is a great thing for the Players and the fans so we are ready to win a championship."
